The Benevolence Ministry is one of the oldest ongoing ministries at the Patchogue Church of Christ. Its purpose is to help needy individuals and families in our community as well as our church members facing financial difficulties. We are motivated by Christ’s desire to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and provide for those in need.
Helping Those Around Us
Our mission is to provide food, clothing, technology access, and mentorship/counseling to those in need, with God’s help and in God’s way. Our pledge is to serve in such a way that our visitors experience God through this ministry.

Open by appointment and 631-475-6556
First Saturday each month 11:00 am-2:00 pm
Clothing Drive & Clothing Give-Away
The clothing drive operates year-round. Church members and members of the community are free to bring new or gently worn clothing to the church building when they have them, bearing in mind Jesus’ teaching, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none…” (“Luke 3:11).
-
Those who have a need may request clothing at any time by calling 631475-6556 to make an appointment.
-
The clothing drive culminates each year in a Clothing Give-Away at the church building in October. Members of the community are invited to come to an Open House where clothing for all seasons and all sizes are displayed and provided for those who need them.
