      At the Patchogue Church of Christ we recognize that the church’s education ministry is vital to the well-being of each person.

The goals of the education ministry are to:

• Teach the principles of Christianity as outlined in the Holy Bible.  

• Provide children, youth and adults with a strong  moral and spiritual foundation.

• Equip Christians with the necessary tools to carry out the commission of Jesus, “ Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).

To this end, our education ministry includes:

• A Children’s Ministry with Sunday school, Children’s church (ages 10 and under) and Wednesday night Bible classes.

• Vacation Bible School programs with  curriculums  geared towards knowing God and instilling faith in Him, learning to love God and trust in the truth of His Word.

• Developing a strong knowledge base of the Bible’s teachings through storytelling and memorization. Over 20 teachers and aides ae involved in the children's ministry.

• A Youth Ministry which includes:

• A weekly forum for middle and high schoolers in which the practicality and application of God’s word in our lives are discussed and studied.

• An annual Regional Youth Rally with youths from churches across the state and from neighboring states. This is a weekend of  fun, fellowship, devotion, Bible study, and  community outreach -  such as visiting a nursing home and or handing out tracts.

• Adult Bible Classes: 

• Wednesday nights we offer a comprehensive study of the Old Testament and the applicability of its principles to Christian lives.

• Sunday mornings, Bible study involves an in-depth study of New Testament books or topics .

• Individual Personal Bible Classes are offered to both Christians and non-Christians so they grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

•  These classes are taught by mature members for whom training in soul winning is provided.
