It is not too hard for God.
It is not too hard for God.
“Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son.” (Gen 18:14).
Like most promises the easiest part is to make it. The difficulty is in keeping it. With God, it is different, God always, keeps his promises. The promise he made to Abraham required making Abraham into a great nation (Gen.12:1-6). To fulfill that promise Abraham had to father children with his wife Sarah. That does not sound difficult. Childbearing is an everyday occurrence. With Abraham and Sarah, however, there were two problems. Sarah was barren and even if she could conceive, she was too old to give birth to a child. She was sixty five years old. For us that’s an impossible situation, but for God that’s an easy proposition.
Your life and mine will be richly enhanced when we believe that nothing is too hard for God. We will have amazing experiences when we truly believe that nothing is too hard for God ; with God “All things are possible.” It is true to say that God has had only limited success in convincing His people that nothing is “too hard for [Him].” Sarah did not believe that she would conceive and bear a son, but she did!
Let us start believing God; believe that He is with us and that He will use his awesome power to change our lives from whatever it is, to what it should be under His guidance. Let us be the clay in His hands, surrendered to His will, so that He can remake us into whatever He chooses. Let us pray,
“Heavenly Father we stand in awe of your power and love.We are in awe of the amazing love you have for each of us and we stand in awe as we contemplate your activity in our lives. You have shown us Father that if we truly believe in you, we will achieve goals way beyond our imaginations. Father give us hearts of faith so that we can become more productive in your Church/Kingdom, help us Father to believe in you as we really want to believe in you. Therefore Father, remove the obstacles from our paths and give us the courage to believe in you and submit our lives to your will. We pray Father that as the potter does the clay, so we ask that you form and mold us into the men and women you want us to become as we pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”
