Ashamed? No! I am not ashamed of Christ, nor of the Church of Christ.
Ashamed? No! I am not ashamed of Christ, nor of the Church of Christ.
“Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."” (Mark 8:37-38).
16 “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.”(Rom 1:16-17).
8 “So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God,” (2 Tim 1:8).
11 “Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.” (Heb 2:11).
“Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.” (Heb 11:16)
16 “However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.” (1 Peter 4:16).
Let us pray,
“Heavenly Father, we are overwhelmed by your love and cannot give you sufficient praise, nor adequately express to you our gratitude for your grace and kindness. Accepting us into your family, that Christ is happy to call us brothers and sisters; and you Father, have full knowledge of who we are, yet you accept us and feel good when we call you our Lord and our God, this Heavenly Father lifts up our spirits and motivates us to seek ways to be more dedicated and faithful. Thank you Holy Father for this inexpressible kindness and we pray Father that you give us boldness that we may never be ashamed of your gospel, never be ashamed of your Church, never be ashamed of your word. Father take us into your hands and mold us so that we may be more effective servants; open our eyes Father that we may see the work you want us to do as we want to serve You today and everyday, doing your will, to your glory and honor. Amen.”
